Paypal is the most widely used and reliable epayment solution for people conducting businesses online.
It's no secret that Paypal isn't a very big fan of Nigerians evidenced by the fact that we're not on their list of countries. But we're not going to let them get in the way of having legitimate equal opportunity access to making cool sweet cash in the online business world.
1) First you need to install the mozilla firefox browser at www.mozilla.com/firefox in case you don't have one.
2) Go to www.sockslist.net and look for the ip of a non-european country, preferebly chinese. You'll see a table of countries and the free available IP addresses. For example in the table under country you'll see China and right beside it under the title IP Address:Port you'll see the free available IP address, port number and SOCKS version eg 220.173.107.19:1080 Ver 4 . Take note of it.
3)Click on "Tools" in the top left corner of your Mozilla browser and go down to "Options" and click it.
4) A new window should come up. Click on "settings". Another window showing the connection settings should come up. Now Click on "manual proxy configuration". In the SOCKS host box place the IP address that you got from www.sockslist.net. Click on SOCKS v4 and under "port" put the number "1080". After that you click OK.
5) After doing that go to http://www.whoer.net/ to confirm that you are using a chinese IP. Then go to www.paypal.com to carry out your normal registration but when coosing an address you look for a chinese address and phone number and fill in those instead.
There are also other reliable methods of easily opening a paypal account from here in Nigeria.
Now you've opened your paypal account but before you can start making free use of it to make and receive payments without any problems it has to be verified.
The usual methods of verification are with a U.S. Bank account or with a pay pal debit card which costs $30.
